We are getting very close to completing our goal of $3600 for “Homes for Life” the meter is slowly climbing toward our goal. The service was amazing last night, Ed Newton brought an amazing message from the word and I thank God that he placed Ed in my path last year, the relationship that our students have been able to build with Ed has truly been a blessing. Here’s what went down last night!

Well, we’ve had an amazing run this fall with our main theme, “The Real Life”. We’ve had several amazing sub themes like “Listening To God” and “Dress To Impress” all of our speakers have done an amazing job and we’re so excited about all God has done and is going to do. We have several upcoming events including CHRISTMAS with Ed Newton, Ed will be with us throughout the holidays and he will also be leading our new series in January called Natural Disasters, we’ll be talking more about that in the future. Oh well, here’s the lineup!

Well, it’s once again that time of year and student life tour is BACK!!! We are so excited about SL tour this year and we want you to be a part. The dates are Feb. 15-16 and guests include the AMAZING David Platt, Spur 58, JR Vasser, and a concert by Jeremy Riddle. You are NOT going to want to miss our on this weekend and I encourage you to begin making plans to attend. For those who may not know how SL tour works, we basically leav the church Friday around 4p.m., return that night around 10p.m. and leave the church early Saturday morning for the final Saturday sessions. The tour will be held at Belview Baptist Church in the Germantown area and cost is $55 + a few meals. We will be taking a bus and several vehicles, SPACE IS LIMITED! Make sure you sign up and pay quickly so you can reserve your spot!

Well we have a brand new (web exclusive) video series called “Stories”, in this series we’ll visit different staff and church members and hear their life story. This series especially excites me because I enjoy getting to know people and hearing interesting facts and bits about their lives. I decided to start with my own, as you will see in the video I have recently noticed the massive amounts of new faces within our church family and many of you may not know how I came to be a worship leader at Desoto Hills and I wanted to share that with you. I hope you enjoy, we’ll have more “Stories” coming soon…
