Well, Michael was still in Peru last night so we had a great night of worship, drama, and of course, a killer ice cream party! Much thanks to our guests, the youth from Oak Grove Baptist Church for sharing their amazing gifts of drama with us. We hope you guys can join us again the near future. Great reminder last night by Michael, we all need to be sure and spend some time with God daily, it could be just a few minutes but a healthy relationship requires “hang time” with God everyday, make it a priority in your life today. We did indeed have a great night last night we also had SUPER fun at the lockout Friday night, if you weren’t there I’m sorry but, YOU MISSED OUT!!! On Wednesday, March 5 I spoke to the youth on the issue of money & giving. We are so blessed in America to have all that we have, but we are also responsible to be good stewards of what God has blessed us with. Dr. Donald S. Whitney says that “the question is not how much of my money am I going to give to God, but how much of God’s money am I going to keep for myself?”

It is no secret that ministry requires resources and resources requires money. A big need we have for our H2O worship service on Wednesday night is a new projector for the right side of the room. However, this will cost about $1,000 to purchase and install. I have challenged the youth to raise the money needed for the new projector, but we will not be “fund raising” this money. I have asked the youth to give out of their own pockets, even if that means sacrificing some things they love.

Every week we will be taking up an offering from the youth. If every student gave one dollar for just 10 weeks we could raise the money needed. Please pray for God’s leadership as we give and move forward with the student ministry here at DeSoto Hills Baptist Church

NO SCHOOL THIS WEEK!! To celebrate a week of no school we are going to make a change this week and NOT have H2O as usual. We will NOT be meeting in the Attic of DeSoto Hills Baptist Church on Wednesday night!

The plan is to meet at Strikezone Bowling Lanes a little before 6pm on Wednesday. We are going to bowl a couple of games from 6-7:30pm. Pizza and drinks will be provided!

COST: $7.00 per person (that pays for 2 games and shoes)

Well, if you were unable to be here last night, you missed a great evening of worship and fellowship, GOOD LUCK on those nine weeks tests you guys will be starting on today. Remember this friday will be fluid friday “family feud” so come hang out and have some fun. Next Wednesday we’ll be meeting at the bowling alley for some FUN, cost is $7 and covers your shoes, and two games, Michael will provide pizza and drinks! Also, we have the lock out coming up next friday, $25 for all night fun, bring your money and medical release form and get plenty of REST before you show up.
