Merry Christmas Desoto Hills! Several of our very own musicians recorded this christmas song as a special gift for those of you visiting the website. We placed the music to a slideshow of our church family, we hope you enjoy watching video. You may also download the song to your music library on your computer or burn it to a cd to enjoy whenever you like. The song was mixed by producer Jim Barnes and produced by Marc Lewis and includes the amazing dobro playing by Casey Moore. Hernando Parks and Recreation is starting an Ultimate Frisbee League.  If you are 16 or older and interested in playing to need to have a parent fill out the form below.

We will be taking the players from DeSoto Hills Baptist Church and combining with players from New Prospect Baptist Church to make a full team.  Forms are due by Monday, December 15.  The league will by played on Monday nights at the old Hernando High School football field.  Games start in mid-Jan. and run through mid.-March.  The cost per person is $25.00 and each player will receive a t-shirt and frisbee.  If you have any questions contact Michael… (901)-605-9083

Well tonight we heard Mary’s side of the birth story. The evening was fantastic and I had a great time worshiping with all of you. I hope those of you who are not in choir come out Saturday night to the dinner theater to support our youth in the performance of “Yo Christmas Tree” tickets can be purchased through the church office. Don’t forget next Wednesday we’ll have our Christmas party bash, it’ll be amazing so don’t miss it! Here’s what happened last night.

And Joseph went up from Galilee, out of the town of Nazareth, into Judaea, to Beth-lehem, the town of David, because he was of the house and family of David. Yes, last night we studied the line of David and (in detail) Michael traced the blood line of Jesus back to David and even to Abraham, really cool and interesting. We also looked into Joseph’s character and good nature. Make sure you’re back next week to look at Mary and her side of the birth story. Make sure you have the H2O christmas party on your calendar, it’s not this coming week, but the week after, December 17, 2008. We’ll be eating, singing, playing games, and hanging out. Also NEW YEARS EVE, we’ll be ringing in the new year up in the attic playing games and just hanging out. Be sure to make note of this upcoming dates. Here’s what happened last night.
