WOW! We had a packed house last night, over 100 people crammed into the attic to worship and praise our Lord. Bro. James once again did an outstanding job teaching us about Desoto Hill’s F.A.I.T.H. program. FAITH is the “tool” our church uses for witnessing, if you are interested in learning about FAITH or you would like to be a part of FAITH, contact Grant Stegall at the office (662-890-2452). ALSO if you were at the service last night you would surely remember that Casey’s amp basically exploded, he DID indeed blow all the tubes out and will hopefully have the amp repaired in the next few days, we shall see. Well we had another incredible night in the attic. Bro. James did a wonderful job with explaining in more depth our church and beliefs. On Saturday, March 7 we will be having our first middle school: Saturday Night Live.  This is a FREE, OVERNIGHT, MIDDLE SCHOOL event (6th – 8th grade) Registration for this overnight event would start around 6:00 pm on Saturday night and run until 7 pm.  At 7, we will all head out to go roller skating.  After skating, the ladies will head to their host home for the night and the guys to their host home.  At the host homes, some of the high school students will be leading games and just hanging out with everyone.  The next morning, everyone will come to church for the service and Sunday School. The purpose of this event is for students to bring their friends to church.  Start inviting your friends, NOW!

This Friday Night from 7pm till 10pm we are opening up the youth attic at DeSoto Hills for you and your friends to come and hang out. This is an open attic, so you are free to come for the whole time or only 15 minutes. We will have plenty of stuff for you to do like: video games, board games, pool, air hockey, ULTIMATE PONG, and much more. Come on out on this Friday night and hang with us here at DeSoto Hills! Well we started our brand new series last night and it was incredible! We are SO BLESSED to have our senior pastor Bro. James leading these great sessions, explaining our church, who we are, and our beliefs as a church. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL, yep we also celebrated Micheal’s upcoming birthday as well with a killer party, cake, ice cream, the whole bit, it was awesome! Wow! How awsome last night was, God moved through the attic like a hugh wave last night. We saw people worship and celebrate his name and we even had several people make decisions for Christ, INCREDIBLE NIGHT! We finished up the Moses series with the ten commandments and a reality check of how we as humans can NEVER match up to God’s standard, without Christ, we just can’t do it! Registration for Student Life Conference is coming soon. The conference will be February 13-14, 2009 in Memphis, TN. The cost for the event is $40/student, if you pay in advance. You are welcome to come even if you have not signed up & paid before hand, however, the cost will be $50 at the door. Please sign up and pay in advance, if possible, to help me and save some money!
