New Band Site

Wednesday, December 30th, 2009
Several weeks out of college Marc Lewis returned to Southaven Mississippi to begin a career in the DeSoto County Public School system. Leaving Hattiesburg and college had also meant leaving many of his worship opportunities with the Chris Layton Band, for which he still play in when possible. Little did he know that God had some big plans for his life and for the lives of several young guys growing up at Carriage Hills Baptist. Upon returning to his home church, the youth minister plugged him into the Wednesday night program and before long he was leading worship. As the band turned over, several young guys soon came through the group that would form the band today. Casey began playing guitar his junior high years, Holden began drums his ninth grade year, and Beau began playing keyboards his tenth grade year. The guys are growing up but God has blessed and we continue to grow spiritually and musically. We’re having a blast serving him and leading students to his throne week in, week out.

AWSOME NIGHT! Man, what a fun night of worship, fellowship, and learning. Last night Michael divided the room into small groups to create a collection of small skits demonstrating the various spiritual gifts, if you didn’t make it, trust me, it was a lot of fun! Next week we’ll be looking at a few of the more controversial gifts including the gift of tongues, we hope to see you there! Here’s what happened last night!
