Inaugural Address
Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

The Inaugural Address E.P. was officially released July 4th however only a few copies were made for distribution, we sort of just passed them around to friends and family. I released the song with our men and women serving in Iraq in mind. The song really came about by accident, just playing around in the studio with a couple of records and a turntable. As the song started to take shape I called producer Jim Barnes and drummer Aaron Beasley and we began laying drum tracks that would be the “base glue” of Inaugural Address. The song, as you will see, is largley based on that record I was playing around with, the JFK inaugural address that I picked up at disc tech for a whopping two bucks. I began programming the electronic loops in April and we layed guitars in early May. A-train recorded the drum tracks in less than 2 hours at my house (after Jennifer fed us a killer Mexican buffet) the files were mailed to Jim Barnes, final cuts were mixed and in our hands late May. The music is a very different blend of pop/rock and experimental type stuff, we hadIA.jpg fun recording it and we hope you enjoy listening. We’ll release more music for you to download soon in the mean time, adieu.

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

MarcWelcome to the living room sessions. Friday night March 10, 2006 Marc, Kyle, and Aaron gathered to record some final touches on the guitar tracks for “I’m Free” instead we proceed to pull out a kick drum, snare drum, acoustic bass, and guitar for some jamming in the living room. Kyle These are two of the takes (somewhat raw) there are no vocal (pitch) corrections and a few bad notes are floating around. The original instrumentation was Marc (guitar, vocals) Kyle (acoustic bass) Aaron (drums, tamb)

AaronA few overdubs (touch ups) were added in post production -Marc (harmonica, piano, backing vocals) & Jennifer (backing vocals)

We are working on a studio release for the website that will be heading out to Jim Barnes (producer) to be mixed. We’ll keep you posted on possible release dates.

Here are a few pictures of the original sessions being recorded.

Listen to “Rescue Me (Needy)” or “You Are The Life” below. You can even download the songs to your computer by clicking on the arrow on the far right side of the player.
