The Big Picture 1

Well we officially kicked off the fall H2O services last night with the start of our newest series “The Big Picture”. Michael gave us a broad overview of the path we’ll be taking with this study and many of the ideas we’ll visit. I’m excited to have the opportunity to stand back and be able to take such a large glance at the bible as a whole… SUPER COOL! The full band was back last night, we look forward to having all the guys with us this month. Casey will be heading out with Leeland starting in September and we’re blessed to have Caleb who’ll be stepping into the lead guitar shoes when Casey’s away. Here’s what happened last night!

CRANKING BACK UP!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice creme! Yep yep, we enjoyed a BIG ole fashion ice creme “social” last night. TERRIFIC NIGHT! Michael lead a school driven prayer session and the entire attic lifted up the north MS school system. We enjoyed having Casey back on lead guitar and we missed Caleb who was out sick, we hope to have the full band back next week. We’ll be kicking off fully next Wednesday with the start of our newest series, “The Big Picture” in which Michael will be taking the group through the whole bible in huge sections over the course of the next few months. We’re all really excited about seeing all that God has in store for desoto hills youth this exciting new season. Here’s what happened last night…. (P.S. MP3 of worship is attached)

Well Michael’s out of town so Tim Mudder stepped in to help wrap up our summer series. The band played last night and was definitely cooking… A sign of things to come this fall. WOTB Night 3

WOW! What a cool service. Yep, it’s the first official week of spring and soooooo….. You guessed it…. We threw yet another ice creme celebration party. We also gave away a McDonalds gift card for “Name That Diva Tune” AND we had a wonderful guest speaker our very own Mrs. Lugar who did a fabulous job, I thoroughly enjoyed her stories and experiences from the mission field and the NICS organization. Storytime With Bucy Night 6

Hmm TOUGH parable last night, for SURE. I’d have to say being able to forgive someone who’s wronged us in one way or another is a HARD thing to do sometimes, and God’s “story” last night is a constant reminder to love your neighbor through thick and thin. Show mercy and compassion, learn to love even when it’s hard. Casey was back on guitar tonight after a three week hiatus, we appreciate Caleb’s willingness to fill in, he’ll still be on stage rockin the acoustic! The stupid video lever (7100) newer more improved model, made it’s debut last night with some killer snow mishaps, look for more lever pulls in the near future. GREAT crowd last night, it was so good to see all those faces praising and worshiping the one true God, I can’t wait for next week. Casey will be heading back into town after a long three week break, I’d like to thank Caleb Rushton for stepping up the plate and filling in on electric, he’ll be back on acoustic next week, rocking on the back riser, we appreciate him tons! We had another great parable study last night, I defiantly want to be the brother that steps up to the plate and does the right thing, even if it’s something I don’t particularly want to do. Story Time With Bucy Night 4

WOW! What a powerful picture of brotherly love, the video images are still lingering in my mind this morning as I sit here and write this blog. Last night’s parable is an incredible reminder of the suffering around us everyday, I will definatly be more agressive in my efforts to help those around me in their time of need from now on. Story Time With Bucy Night 3

Night 3, The Baron Fig Tree, pretty powerful video on this one, I like the spin on the story, it’s an incredible reminder of how we should have mercy and give people a second chance. We had some band changes tonight, Casey was out so our very own Caleb Rushton took the reigns of electric guitar tonight and will be doing so for the next two weeks. We also had Jesse Lugar on acoustic guitar, his last Wednesday night here in the states, he’ll be heading back to Peru this week and we’re all gonna miss him and wish him the best. Story Time With Bucy Night 1

Well the first night of the new series was incredible, this is a really cool study of the parables. Michael will be taking one parable each week and breaking it down, sort of re-telling it with a more modern spin, SUPER cool.
