Memorize The Word!

I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word, I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path and will hide its words in my heart that I may not sin against God. Many of you may remember this pledge from YEARS of wonderful VBS memories, but last night’s sermon got me thinking about this pledge and I began to wonder if we REALLY paid attention (all those years) to the words we were speaking, the pledge itself! We are telling God that we take the time and effort to make his name known by spreading his message across the globe, we basically pledged to God, that we were going to memorize (hide it’s words in our heart A.K.A. memorize it’s words) so that we would know it’s commands and teachings. Michael gave us a TALL order/challenge last night to begin memorizing God’s word, find a friend, work on it together, work on it during your DAILY QUIET TIME.
